Michael Charlton, Sales and Marketing Director of AJ Charlton & Sons, based in Frome, is a regular at the notoriously mud-packed concert. Having known Michael Eavis for many years, Charlton Gates have supplied him with plenty of fencing and gates in the past. Not just for containing the crowds at the annual gig, but also on the Eavis’ dairy farm. (Nobody wants stage-diving cows) Michael told me, “We also supply a lot of slab wood for the festival which go down at the stands and give a ‘rustic’ feel to the stalls, as well as various off-cuts and structures.” Highlight’s of this year’s festival included Groove Armada, Will Young, The Zutons and The Verve. |

she knows just the right man when it comes to getting free tickets for the legendary Glastonbury festival.
He continues, “We are so privileged to get free tickets for the festival each year. It’s a real family event for us – especially as we get to camp out in Michael Eavis’ own back garden where it’s a good deal more comfortable.”
